Hi, I’m Ellie and I run The Altar tattoo studio! I’ve been tattooing since 2018, and I specialise in Black and Grey realism and portrait tattooing.

Since 2022 I’ve guested at various studios and conventions across the UK and have won 13 awards for my work so far!

I love working on large scale projects such as full arm and leg sleeves and creating interesting designs that suit each clients needs while flowing with the body and flattering anatomy.

Plenty of free on-street parking is available on New Hey Road, just next to the studio. In the rare event that the road is full, we’re located in the heart of Cheadle village, with multiple public car parks nearby.

  • Train

We’re located between Gatley and Cheadle Hulme stations, both offering regular connections across Greater Manchester and Cheshire. The studio is about a 20 minute walk from the nearest station (Gatley) with local bus services stopping nearby.
